Project purpose :
- Focus in the BCG model on the agricultural and food sector
- Emphasize on applying science, technology and innovation
- Turn the local farmers in the Lancang-Mekong subregion to be competitive and sustain in their agricultural practice
Expected Outcomes :
- Improved environmental sustainability, Food Security, and enhance resilience to climate change.
- Enhanced Productivity and economic returns by increase higher crop yields, improved product quality, improve post-harvest management, reduce crop losses, enhance market access and increased income for small-scale farmers from their processed food product.
- Enhanced Capacity Building of people, especially agricultural extension services officers to continue transferring the sustainable agricultural practices and technologies to others and sustain the benefit from this project.
- Improve Health index of people in community by reducing the application of dangerous pesticides and reduce the risk in food poisoning.
